Baskets (Drama Feature) — A struggling and frustrated actress embarks on a killing spree of people standing in the way of her success, convinced that a magical force guarded by three witches will bring her fame and adulation.

Fabric (Drama Pilot) — Fabric is an hour long TV drama about a wealthy family tearing itself apart as it fails to adapt to the chaos and tumult of 1960s England. Unionised textile workers strike, Caribbean immigrants make their way, south London gangsters muscle in on the boxing scene and a family succession dispute explodes as dynamics of class, race and gender are upended in the decade of revolution.

Biography

Hector Coles is an award winning screenwriter, director and documentary maker from London, UK. He has won two Sloan Foundation awards for Solvay 1927, about Niels Bohr and the discovery of Quantum Physics, and Young Tesla, about the early life of the inventor Nikola Tesla. As a documentary maker, he has produced films that have played at festivals such as Sundance; Bring Your Own Brigade (2021) about the urgent issue of wildfires in California and Tribeca; Of Night and Light (2023) about the miracle drug Ibogaine which has the potential to ‘cure’ opioid addiction. As a writer/director he is interested in using genre to tell character driven stories exploring American life from the perspective of an immigrant, as well as investigating the subject of class in his home country of the UK. He graduated from the film program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2019 and after graduating from UCLA he plans to direct his first feature later this year. He can often be found at the Aero catching a double feature.
