Biography
Julia Moser is a Los Angeles native who spent the first chunk of her career as an Emmy-winning producer in broadcast news. In her previous life, she worked at Good Morning America, BuzzFeed News, and she even did a stint at a local station here in L.A. She produced segments with politicians and newsmakers including Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, celebrities including Dolly Parton and Gritty (the mascot of the Philadelphia Flyers,) and more than a few instagram-famous cats. Julia enrolled in UCLA’s Screenwriting MFA program in the Fall of 2023 after realizing that she had more creative ambitions than journalism could offer. In her time at UCLA, Julia has written a neo-noir about two women journalists in 1920s Los Angeles, a half-hour comedy pilot about a Love Island-esque reality TV show filming during the apocalypse, and an adaptation of the short story “The Girls in their Summer Dresses” by Irwin Shaw, among others. Her work mostly features difficult women.
