Biography
Matthew Evans comes from South Carolina and graduated Dartmouth College in 2022, where he majored in philosophy with a concentration in literature. He primarily writes character-driven psychological thrillers, often with a genre twist, in both feature and television. He believes there is nothing more important in a movie than at least one scene that makes the audience forget they’re watching something at all. Some of his inspirations are David Lynch, Jordan Peele, and Jane Campion. He has experience working in pre-production, development and the film festival circuit. He enjoys reading (and is currently working through Faulkner), biking, playing the same video game over and over again while listening to podcasts, and watching the Carolina Panthers lose football games. Ask him why “The Last Jedi” is underrated or why Steph Curry is the greatest athlete of the 21st century.
